Course Description:
When done well, the action in fencing happens across fractions of a second. Conversely, when done poorly then the action is slow, ponderous and easily seen. In this class Robert Childs will take you through the three pillars of fence of footwork, balance and sword-work as he reveals the techniques he utilizes in each to minimize action time. Further, he will instruct on the critical timing mistakes made by fencers around the world and how/when to capitalize upon them. Finally, the student will learn how to increase the time of their opponents' actions, effectively stealing that time from them, and turn it to their own use.
