"INDES" ACTIONS IS LIKE CHEATING AT ROCK PAPER SCISSOR
In a HEMA tournament, the forward movement of your sword will probably result in one of three actions from your fellow competitor. Let's start taking care of these scenarios before it is too late and use their decisions against them!
FURY OF THE SMOL
Being the smallest one in the ring can have some major disadvantages when you’re at a distance and reach is the determining factor for landing a hit. But once you start to close measure the game shifts and that small size starts to present some very interesting advantages.
SCHILL-HOW? REDUX
Every mastercut has contexts to explore, and the Schillhau has at least three. In this class, we will dissect this mastercut and explore how to perform it with technical prowess in all its contexts.
ZUCKEN: FUHLEN IN ACTION

We will focus on the context, biomechanics, and application of the Zucken as a way to build up a sense of Fuhlen, looking at both its theoretical place in the Zettel and its practical use in the fight.

NACHSCHLAG BEST SCHLAG
In this class we will use drills and sparring games to develop one's means of making an effective single attack or combination of attacks.
FIGUEYREDO'S RAPIER AND DAGGER
This class will cover how Figueyredo coordinates the rapier and dagger together to tie up the opponent's sword.
SIMPLIFYING THE BIND
The goal of the class is to provide a more sparring/tournament applicable approach to the bind by creating a structured frame work to approach the wide field of options available to use as fencers within the context of the bind.
DAGGER VERSUS SWORD/SWORD VERSUS SPEAR ARE THE SAME THING!
Students will learn the most common attacks of the spear and longsword versus shorter weapons as well as the best techniques to defend themselves against longer weapons.
RULE #1: DON'T DIE

In this class we will look at reading our opponent and making the best choices based on their feedback for the situation.

BRAIN GAMES: EMPOWERMENT AND COPING STRATEGIES FOR COMPETITIVE HEMA

Brain Games is a class designed to help fencers who are new to competitive HEMA, or those who have never felt comfortable competing, discover coping and empowerment strategies to enjoy the competitive experience.

WHY DRILL WHEN YOU CAN GAME?
In this course Allan Sherlock will introduce you to a variety of sparring games, how to build them, and how to utilize them to learn and sharpen your own skills and those of your fencers.
MEASURE AND TEMPO FOR ANY WEAPON

This course will discussed the concepts of Measure, tempo and how it applies to sparring. We will have several drills and games to practice these skills.

TRAINING GAMES AND HOW TO USE THEM

This class, will go through drills and games that can be helpful to your fencing. We will touch upon how approach, expectations, and physical limitations can affect the results/goals of each drill/game.

Utilizing Control in Messer
This HEMA class will focus on teaching control with the messer using the Teaching Games for Understanding instructional model.
PERFECTING DECEPTION AND FALLING FOR FEINTS
This class will cover perfecting the feint, how to sell it, and how to not be deceived by others doing it.
