THE HOPLITE SHIELD WALL "HOW EQUIPMENT EVOLVES AROUND TACTICS"

Course Description:
We will discuss what the shield wall is, the equipment in it, and how it changed over time. Reflecting on the change in equipment as tactics evolved.

Then review how elements of Hoplite fighting can be used in our HEMA journey.

Required Gear:
Anyone with ancient Greek weapons welcome to bring it! (Aspis, falcata, xiphos, spear).
