Art History and Kunst des Fechtens
This lecture will dive deep into the art and artists associated with the fechtbuchs of 15th and 16th century Germany. This lecture will include a brief intro to art history and codicology before launching into the Northern Renaissance and other major events that helped shape the manuscripts we now use today in historical martial arts. Time will also be devoted to the artists, authors, and patrons of Germanic fight books of the time.
Everyone likes fechtbuchs with pictures, right?
