Alberto Aquillue, of Sala de Armas "El Batallador" and Blackfencer in Zaragoza, Spain is a highly experienced instructor in the Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) community. Alberto has been involved in HEMA since 2012, and has a focus on the study of the Liechtenauer tradition and the common aspects of different treatises that make up a combat system, biomechanics, and footwork. In addition to his instructional work with El Batallador, Alberto also works with the Spanish army, applying historical fighting techniques to modern tactical weapons, both European and Japanese.
