Amanda Tucker

Amanda (otherwise known as small tank) has 7 years of experience practicing HEMA. She initially fell in love with/specialized in rapier and dagger, then branched out to others along the way. Sidesword, longsword and messer are among other favourites.

Amanda is an international women's longsword champion (2x finalist).
For rapier & dagger, she has consitantly placed in the top 8/semi finals over several years, in mixed gender international tournaments.

Amanda is part of the formation of THCC Vancouver, and facilitates.

At SoCal Swordfight 2023 Amanda Tucker will be presenting the following:

Fighting Giants - Overcoming reach disadvantage in rapier & dagger.

Course Description:
As a short person in world of predominantly tall opponents, I have had to adapt my fighting style over the years. I will be demonstrating these tactics, & discussing when to apply them. The class will focus mainly on single tempo counters, body voids and dagger work at close range.

Required Gear:
Equipment required: Mask, Rapier, Dagger. Gorgets recommended.
