Course Description:
We often see guards mentioned, and occasionally we even stop by them for a moment while sparring, but just as often, they are something we cover occasionally in class, but don't really stop to think about all of the ways in which we can use them in context. I'd like to explore several guards that are presented in the texts, from Fiore to Meyer, and dig a little more deeply into what is possible from them, how to make them more effective, and encourage anyone to integrate them a little bit more into their fencing.

Required Gear:
Longsword, mask and gloves are recommended.
