More than 800 registered HEMA tournament matches make Stanson one of the most experienced tournament fencers in the community. That being made possible by having a large focus on one handed weapons and sparring (mostly outdoors in most weathers) since 2003 and when not actively competing at events you can usually find Stanson being a referee or judge or away sparring.

Course Description:
In a HEMA tournament, the forward movement of your sword will probably result in one of the three following actions from your fellow competitor:
- An insufficient defense that you can exploit
- A good defense that puts you at a disadvantage but leaves an opening somewhere else
- Or simply ignore the incoming sword and counter attack instead

Let's start taking care of these scenarios before it is too late and use their decisions against them!

Required Gear:
All type types of classic HEMA Tournament swords.
Bring along a partner with a matching set.
Fencing mask and sparring gloves minimum, preferably a full sparring kit.
