Instructor Bio: Michael Tucker

Michael found his way into HEMA via stage combat. He was fortunate while he was training for his certification his mentor introduced him to the wide world of HEMA over a decade ago. After spending a few years traveling and learning he opened up a Lightsaber School in Indianapolis, basing the forms on popular weapons in the HEMA world. Michael won several golds at international saber events enjoying the community and martial arts around him but found himself missing the sound of steel.

In 2022 he returned to the world of HEMA, competing and winning a gold medal at SoCal Swordfight 2022, then opening up a new school "Tuathair Academy of Martial Arts". He is excited to share the lessons of his travels at SoCal Swordfight and see what insights we can gain together.
