As SoCal Swordfight has grown by leaps and bounds (350 competitors in 2023!) we have to be proactive in addressing both scalability for future growth, and the desire to keep the focus on it being about the community coming together.

To this end we have made a significant judging change for 2024.

• Every competitor will be required to line judge for one pool in each tournament they have registered to compete in.
• Experienced directors will be scheduled by the event for all pool matches. A full judging team will be scheduled by the event for all elimination matches.

For the eliminations all of the judging staff are organized/scheduled by the event. 

Opting Out of Judging

Though we strongly encourage each participant to embrace this responsibility, we realize there will be some who simply do not want to judge. Choosing not to judge will incur a $25 fee, bringing the cost of individual tournament registration to $50 per tournament.

We are very excited about the possibility of having your teen join us for our Under 18 Tournaments at SoCal Swordfight 2024!

For this event to be a success, we need your help.

The goals of this tournament are to create an educational, fun, competitive, and safe tournament for our younger HEMA practitioners. To do this, we're going to need you to be with us as well.

To participate in this tournament your teen will need both your consent in signing our event waiver, as well as your presence either coaching or at ringside while they are competing.

When Registering for SoCal Swordfight 2025, please be sure to choose the registration type that fits with the activities you are going to participate in at the event (See below for Details).

If you have selected Full Event Registration (regardless of age) you will be asked which tournaments you would like to participate in, you will only be shown tournaments that are appropriate for your age / registration type). Where applicable select the level that you want to compete at and press the "+add" button to place them in your cart for checkout.

You will have the opportunity to review your selection on the "Cart" page, if everything is correct, please select the "Check Out" button to proceed.

Next you will be asked to complete registration form for the person attending the event, name, contact info, club or school affiliation, and to sign the Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement.

If you are registering for a minor that you are a parent or legal guardian of, please fill out the registration with their name. The waiver will switch to asking for parental consent once you put in their date of birth. 

Once you have completed the registration form and signed the waiver, press the "Submit" and "Checkout" buttons to proceed to the payment form.

Once you have paid for your registration, you will receive an email receipt as well as an additional email to access your tickets electronically.
