Robert Redfeather, a renowned Grandmaster in Martial Arts and founder of the Apache Knife Foundation, brings a wealth of experience and cultural depth to SoCal Swords. Of Native American descent, Robert began his martial arts journey at the age of five, trained by his Native American grandparents in the art of knife combat.

With a career spanning over four decades, Robert has taught combat knife skills to various groups, including the military, law enforcement, and the movie industry. His international recognition includes representing the U.S.A. Apache Knife Team at the 8th World Martial Arts Union at the Cheongju World Martial Arts Festival in Korea in 2004.

Robert's contributions to martial arts have been widely acknowledged. He was awarded Action Martial Arts Magazine’s Hall of Fame & Spirit Awards for Outstanding Contribution to the Martial Arts in 2003. He has also been inducted into the Martial Arts History Museum in Burbank, CA, for his role in preserving the oldest fighting art in the United States. The Martial Arts History Museum recognized May 6, 2017, as Robert Redfeather Day, honoring his impact on preserving martial arts history and artifacts.

In addition to his martial arts expertise, Robert is an accomplished actor, producer, expert tracker, and instructor at the Apache Scouts Tracking School. He has also had a career as a professional PRCA bull rider and is an avid horse rider.

Robert has authored several publications, including "APACHE KNIFE FIGHT LIKE THE WIND," which showcases his extensive knowledge of Apache knife combat. His dedication to both martial arts and Native American culture makes him a unique and valuable instructor at SoCal Swords.
