Low Budget, High Quality: Video Production for HEMA Tournaments

Everyone loves watching and sharing video of their fights, but not everyone is comfortable editing and publishing video. If your club runs tournaments, or if you just want to share better sparring videos with friends, this class will give you the skills you need to easily plan, shoot, edit, and publish your videos.

In this one-hour interactive lecture we'll cover:
- The basics of video editing using DaVinci Resolve, a free and powerful video editing tool
- Planning and logistics before the tournament
- Shooting video during the tournament
- Editing and publishing video after the tournament
- Where to go to learn more about DaVinci Resolve and video editing

The approach presented in this class is optimized for using the gear you already have: video will be shot using your phone or volunteers' phones and edited using your Windows, Mac, or Linux PC. Having a fancy cameras and a PC with a powerful video card can make things easier, but specialized gear isn't necessary to produce great videos that showcase your fighting and your club.

No gear required.
