Ahmed Syed is an up and coming martial artist and fight choreographer. Having come from a background of a student of History since he was a child, Ahmed now focuses on reconstructing the martial arts of the Middle East, North Africa, Balkans, Central Asia, Iberia, the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia (also known as the Islamicate World) from the years 1400-1700 with the Organization Bayt Al Asad which he joined in Early 2023. Ahmed himself prefers the reconstruction of Turkish and Tatar Swordsmanship during the height of the Ottoman Empire and as such has read multiple sources depicting the nuances of the fighting styles of the region.

Ahmed also has a keen interest in fight scene Choreography with an emphasis on bringing proper Turko-Persian swordsmanship to a wider audience. Ahmed currently works with the Guild of Saint Michaels at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire to showcase Medieval and Renaissance Arms and Armor and historical fighting techniques to the greater Los Angeles area. Ahmed also runs the page TheOfficialSaracen on YouTube, Tiktok, and Instagram where he displays many of the techniques he has learned straight from the manuscripts!
