Arthur Henry

Sacramento Historical Fencing Academy
California, USA

Arthur Henry began fencing in 2005, initially training in French fencing with the Diamond Rose Academie D’Armes. By 2008, he embarked on an independent study and practice of the Italian rapier while continuing to work as an instructor for the Diamond Rose. In 2015, Arthur relocated to Sacramento, where he began training in Kunst des Fechtens with the Sacramento Freifechter. Three years later, in 2018, he became an Instructor specializing in Longsword and Italian rapier.

Arthur’s expertise spans multiple disciplines, including French foil, Meyer’s Kunst des Fechtens, and Italian rapier. He has competed extensively across California, earning medals in various weapon disciplines. As an instructor, Arthur emphasizes positive reinforcement and consistent practice to help students achieve their full potential.

The opening of the Sacramento Historical Fencing Academy provided Arthur the opportunity to teach his Italian rapier class and continue sharing his passion for historical fencing.
