David picked up HEMA 3 years ago, and building upon his history of Kickboxing, Aikido, and Archery, has never looked back. The physical and mental exercise, camaraderie, and delving into history syncs perfectly with his professional fighting game player background. Combining old school plays from treatises with new school competitive mental tactics is the basis for his fighting style and his HEMA card game: Crossguard.
Also swords are cool.
