Jieyu Wu is a world-class martial artist and active competitor across multiple disciplines, including Kendo, HEMA, Naginata, Light Saber Fencing, and Mixed Weapons Fencing. With over 15 years of experience, Jieyu consistently ranks among the top performers internationally. In HEMA, Jieyu achieved a top 1% global ranking, placing 71 out of 11,360 fighters as of March 2025 with a rating of 1740.8. In The Saber Legion’s competitive circuit, Jieyu reached the number 3 ranking out of 180 fighters in 2024.
A multiple-time gold medalist, Jieyu’s accomplishments include first place in Advanced Longsword at CombatCon 2023 and numerous podium finishes in Kendo and Naginata. Holding 3rd Dan ranks in both Kendo and Naginata, Jieyu is recognized for technical mastery and tactical innovation. Jieyu has also gained attention for exceptional cross-disciplinary performances—such as reaching the Longsword Open Finals at Legend of the Lake using a Katana and competing in the Kendo vs. Naginata finals against Dutch national team members.
