Matúš Koronthály

Matúš Koronthály is a passionate HEMA practitioner and instructor hailing from Bratislava, Slovakia. His journey in historical European martial arts began in 2014 with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), where he quickly discovered his passion for swordsmanship. Eager to delve deeper into the world of historical fencing, Matúš soon transitioned to a dedicated HEMA gym, honing his skills and expanding his knowledge.

Since 2019, Matúš has been an integral part of Bratislavský šermiarsky spolok (BŠS), a renowned HEMA club in Bratislava. His dedication and expertise were recognized in 2021 when he was appointed as a junior instructor, a role he has embraced with enthusiasm and commitment. This position has allowed him to share his knowledge and inspire new generations of HEMA practitioners.

Matúš is not only an instructor but also an active competitor in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. His participation in various tournaments has provided him with valuable insights and experiences, which he skillfully incorporates into his teaching methods.
