Jakub Dobi is a seasoned practitioner of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) with over 14 years of experience. He began his journey at Ars Ensis in Hungary before moving to Finland, where he has been training with EHMS since. Jakub is known for his unique approach, focusing on Fiore Longsword techniques while his peers at EHMS specialize in German Longsword. He has taught seasonal Fiore Longsword trainings and has earned several medals from tournaments in northern Europe. Currently, he holds the 132 ranking in HEMA Ratings (as of November 19, 2024), although he prioritizes teaching over competition. 

At SoCal Swordfight, Jakub will share his expertise, covering the basics of Fiore Longsword and strategies for defeating German Longsword opponents. His engaging and practical approach makes him an excellent instructor for those looking to improve their skills in this dynamic martial art.
