Stephen Cheney is the head coach at Bucks Historical Longsword in Bucks County, PA, a club which focuses on the Lew long sword tradition. He has translated several early KdF related texts, some of which have been published on Wiktenauer, in addition to a few printed publications. Stephen started practicing longsword in 2015, and competing in 2016. He is still an active competitor both nationally and internationally, and has achieved some success. As a coach, he focuses on the constraints-led approach to coaching, game design, and their application in teaching the longsword according to the system described by the Lew longsword gloss.

Bucks Historical Longsword is a fencing club, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania devoted to the study and training of the medieval German longsword.

Buck's is committed to the reconstruction of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) studying once lost systems of combat, which have been resurrected from original period sources into living systems we can practice today. Bucks Historical Longsword promotes a safe, fun, and educational environment in which to learn and experience this ancient martial art.
