Wendy started her sword journey in Boston, MA in 2008. She relocated to the West Coast in 2017 and an associate instructor with the Tattershall School of Defense in Long Beach. Her primary area of study is Bloßfechten- messer, dusack, and longsword.  She has participated in Bloßfechten demonstrations at the Getty Museum (2022, 2023) as part of Chivalry Today's resident artisan team. She has a passion for learning and is always willing to try out new techniques and weapons. She is recognized as a top-level researcher(Order of the Laurel) and sword practitioner (Order of Defense, C&T) in the SCA. 

As a disabled fighter and coach, Wendy takes a holistic approach to teaching. As an instructor, she prioritizes inclusivity, compassion and kindness. She works with each student's unique challenges and helps them modify mechanics that can make them more successful as a sword practitioner.
